I still have a couple of weeks before I make my grand departure and fly into the wild blue yonder (January13th) but, as it's Christmas break, I have free time on my hands and decided to test out this whole blog thing. Not that I should have free time. There is so much to do before I leave! Figuring out phones and banks and winter clothes has been consuming a good deal of my "holiday". I'll be so glad to be settled in Prague by February. Hopefully, at that point, I'll have learned how to speak a few Czech sentences and will no longer be completely intimidated by the word for Thursday (ctvrtek... like that could ever actually be a word).
I'll try to keep updates relatively frequent but I hear it's easy to forget to do so while one's abroad. Sorry in advance if I go a week or two here and there sans affirmation via blog that I am alive and well in Prague. That just means more for me to tell you in person when I get back, no?
